Jaisalmer Fort, Rajasthan:

 

Jaisalmer Fort lies in India’s desert state Rajasthan. The view of sunset and desert sand ambiance takes away the visitor’s heart. The fort looks like a ship sailing on the sand which is an amazing scene. The main courtyard is Dussehra Chowk where one can find small shops, food courts, and hotels.

Main highlights are:

Raj Mahal: The 7 storey building inside Jaisalmer Fort, built with lattice work.

Laxminath Temple: It is one of the oldest temples in Jaisalmer dedicated to goddess Laxmi and Lord Vishnu.

Jain Temples: The temples are dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras holding great architectural value.

Massive Gateways: 4 massive gates are Akshaya Pole, Suraj Pole, Hawa Pole, and Ganesh Pole.

Red Fort, Delhi:

 

The historic monument made up of red sandstone is located in Delhi. The architecture of the fort decorated with marble work is an infusion of Islamic, Persian, and Hindu tradition. It encloses a complex of palaces, entertainment halls, garden, and mosque. You can also find here shopping area holding various items.

Amer Fort, Jaipur:

The fort is the mixture of Rajputana and Mughal style architecture. It is made up of white marble located near Maota Lake over a high hill. Maota Lake is the main source of water to the Palace. The fort is split into four main parts i.e Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace), and the Sukh Niwas.

Main highlights are:

Magic Flower Carving: “Magic Flower” is the main attraction of the Fort in the mirror palace. It is the fresco carved in the pillar marbles.

Ganesh Pol: The entrance has the pleasing and intricately carved portions of the fort.

Sheesh Mahal: This Mirror Palace is the most beautiful part of Fort with intricately carved, glittering walls and ceilings.

Sila Devi Temple: The famous temple in the Amer Fort is located right at the entrance.

Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur:

 

One of the largest forts in India situated around 400 feet height from the main city and covered with the thick boundaries.  The fort has 7 gates built after the each Maharaja’s victory.

Main highlights are:

Museum: Mehrangarh Fort has the famous museum of Rajasthan dealing with the rich history of “Rathores”.

Palaces: Different palaces which are well known for their intricate carving are Sheesha Mahal, Moti Mahal, and Phool Mahal.

Chamunda Devi Temple: The fort is dedicated to Chamunda Devi as the “Isht Devi”. The temple is located in the southern end of the fort.
